Nestled in the serene landscapes of Panama, Istmo offers a balanced blend of comfort and value for families and groups looking for an escape from the tourist hustle. Our family of four ended up extending our trip from a planned night to four, and it quickly became apparent why. Upon arrival, the welcome drink set a relaxed tone. The cabanas are well-appointed, featuring comfortable beds and ample space, making for easy lounging. We appreciated having air conditioning, especially after our beach adventures at Playa Grande, just a short stroll away. The outdoor dining area is a highlight, where we enjoyed generous breakfasts and delicious dinners prepared by Sean. The culinary experience here is commendably consistent, featuring fresh local ingredients. As for amenities, free Wi-Fi kept us connected, and the availability of laundry services and free parking added convenience to our stay. The kids loved the shared play areas, while my partner and I took solace in morning yoga classes amidst the lush surroundings.
